Does anything about this picture strike you as interesting? How about the fact that Beyoncé's wig may be worth more than the all of these children's clothes put together, or the fact that the amount she paid for the dress she has on could have paid for food for their whole village. Chew on that for a minute.
Now anyone who knows me knows that I'm a die-hard Beyoncé fan, but this image of this glamorous and powerful woman sitting with these children whose families probably own nothing more than the clothes on their backs makes me wonder if she's doing anything to change that. I'm sure it touched her heart in ways that only an experience like that could, but is she doing anything to affect it? Maybe she thought flashing her pretty teeth was enough to change these people's lives, and it quite possibly may have, but for her sake I hope it doesn't end with a picture. If these kids could comprehend the things she could do for them, they'd be upset, wondering why in the hell is she smiling when she could be writing a check.
